Mass’ Portable Appliance Testing module, PAT MASSter, combines bar coded asset tracking with portable appliance testing equipment and ARCHIBUS to facilitate data capture and analysis.
Portable appliances are individually bar coded, providing each piece of equipment with its own unique identifier.
During the testing process, these bar codes are read using a hand held datalogger with integrated laser scanner.
Equipment position is recorded from location bar codes. Meanwhile, test results are downloaded into the data logger from popular test equipment, such as the Seaward or Best systems.
The full details are then transferred into ARCHIBUS, updating the database immediately and enabling the rapid production of accurate, detailed reports of test results.
Historic test results for each piece of equipment are also retained for comparison.
Prior to the survey, Mass’ PAT MASSter automatically generates a schedule of equipment due for test within a specified date range.
PAT MASSter may also be used as an addition to ARCHIBUS but without the handheld datalogger. For example, if another data capture system is already in use but PAT results are to be held in ARCHIBUS against the master equipment inventory.
