Mass gains Investors In People Award for the third time

Mass is proud to announce that once again the company has been successful in retaining its Investors in People (IIP) quality award.

First given in 2004 the recognition represents the company’s second successful renewal. The review took place over two days earlier this year and every member of the Mass team was interviewed by the independent assessor from the Investors in People Board, who manage the process. The assessor wrote a full report which will be available to read on the Mass website. A selection of quotes from the report is shown below:-

“Mass is in the best possible position to achieve the key business objectives and priorities. The company have staff who are qualified, skilled and knowledgeable to meet client demands and expectations going forward into this new financial year.”

“There was no doubt that people at all levels are committed to the success of the company, particularly through some difficult times and changes of staff particularly at management level. This applies not just to financial success but the ongoing future of Mass and its name and brand image in the industry sector in which it operates.”

“One of the “highlights” from this review was that people feel a real pride in the work they do for their clients, and the conscientious approach to their jobs, such as attention to detail, and this was reflected in the sense of ownership that was detected in people looking for improvements for Mass, and the sharing of knowledge and skills across the teams. They were encouraged to come up with ideas and had “lively discussions!”

“The company’s vision is “Realising Innovation” and its strategic aims were set out at a “kick-off” day for all staff in early January of this year. The key priorities as outlined above in the introduction to this report are Client retention; customer service; back to profit; development of software; promotion of Mantle, all linked to the Chairman’s own objective of “To get back to 2008 levels of business” by (among others) “being poised for growth; growing business and increasing sales” and “controlling costs”. The theme for this year is to catch the wave i.e. be in the right place at the right time with the right attitude and skills when the recovery comes.”
