What’s new in ARCHIBUS v24.1:  Platform Enhancements

We have finally come to the final instalment of our ‘series’ exploring what’s new in ARCHIBUS v24.1. Today in this blog we will summarise ARCHIBUS Platform Enhancements, and we’ll be covering improvements for infrastructure and security, GIS, and mobile platforms.

The infrastructure and security features and associated benefits in v24.1 are:

  • “Cloud-first” installation not only speeds up both dedicated and multi-tenant hosted deployments but also ensures conformity with IT SLAs.
  • Scripted update procedures; standardised deployments have been upgraded to improve performance.
  • Introduction of newer versions of Java and Java components, which will improve speed and performance

In the case of GIS, ARCHIBUS has added a GeoJSON viewer that assists system integrators during configuration for Extensions for Esri deployments. This viewer allows integrators to preview and troubleshoot intermediate GeoJSON content prior to any publishing to ArcGIS.

Below is an example of a floor plan in the GeoJSON viewer before publishing to ArcGIS.

For mobile platforms, ARCHIBUS has focused on improving performance and security in its mobile apps. Both the performance and security of the mobile apps have increased, key enhancements on web central features include:

Mobile Features

Employee records can be synchronised faster during surveys by using the Space & Occupancy mobile app

Improved productivity for field surveyors

Client Certificate Authentication added for Android

Industry standard security for Android users

The new self-service interface makes it easily accessible for anyone to request further information, maintenance, reserving spaces and services. This modern experience can be enjoyed from desktops, tablets, and phones from any place at any time! A seamless, interactive & easy system that is used online.
